In 1994/6, Johnny was Lord Rector of Glasgow University, President National Association for Gifted Children in 1991/7 and has written 5 books and devised GET SET, which puts 400 girls through 26 projects in two days at Imperial College annually. He opened the Science Museum’s Launch Pad and hosted its 10th Anniversary. At this year’s Tomorrow’s World Exhibition, he will present 7 new Engineering lectures for the Campaign to Promote Engineering and Young Engineers and run the DFEE’s “Future Maths” stand as a prelude to Maths 2000.
