Paul Fletcher has had a meteoric rise in the commercial world since his retirement from football in 1981. Over the last decade he has been Chief Executive at two of the finest Football club stadiums ever to be built in this country, both winning ‘Building of the Year Awards’ in 1995 and 1998. He reached the pinnacle of stadium reconstruction when he was invited to become Director of Commercial Affairs at the new £300 million Wembley Redevelopment. A quite incredible achievement. During his time building Stadiums he has watched Huddersfield Town promoted back to Division One in their first year in their new McAlpine The Alfred Stadium and Bolton Wanderers return to Premiership Football in 1997 on the day the Reebok opened. Over a six year period Paul Fletcher secured record breaking sponsorship contracts. The ‘naming’ of The Reebok Stadium, a multi-million pound deal is regarded as the most successful Stadia naming contract of the decade. How did he do it? What's the secret? Where was this experience gained? He puts all his success down to ‘teamwork’, saying “it’s all been relatively straightforward. I just drew on the simple teamwork principles I learned in my playing days at Burnley Football Club.
