Since retiring from the Police, he has been Director of UK Business for the country’s leading supplier of emergency service radio equipment. In this role he was responsible for product launches in the UK and elsewhere and for hosting corporate events.

He now runs his own business.

Peter lectures at the National centre for Policing Excellence on management, leadership and motivation in the context of major crime investigation. He is a regular contributor to BBC Radio on issues involving animal rights terrorism.

Peter’s background in the public and private sectors makes him an excellent event host and facilitator. His approach is marked by great attention to detail and he ensures he has a comprehensive understanding of what his clients are seeking to achieve.

His wide ranging experience of organisations within the public and private sector, together with his ability to draw lessons of management and leadership from critical incidents, from murder investigations to major flooding emergencies, make for fascinating, motivational presentations which are always well-received.

A particular favourite of audiences is his presentation “How to be a Crap Manager in Ten Easy Lessons” – a learning process based on real people and events, which identifies the most common pitfalls in management.

In addition, Peter has a vast array of humorous anecdotes based on his experiences in the Police and elsewhere, with which he regularly entertains after-dinner audiences.
